Transfers

Once you arrive at Male airport you may get the feeling of organised chaos. This is all the more apparent if you arrive on one of the weekly charters, as Monday is Male airports busiest day.

Once you have passed through Passport control, collected your luggage and continued through security you will arrive on the outer concourse where all the different travel representatives awaiting their client’s arrival will greet you.

You will already know if your onward journey to your resort is by speedboat or by seaplane and your representative will give you instructions on where to go to get your transfer.

It really is no different to your coach transfers in Spain or Greece other than the fact you won’t have a dodgy driver that smells of alcohol.

You have travelled along way already but the transfer process is all part of your trip and as it is something different, is very exciting.

Tip: If your transfer is via seaplane and the plane is full (usually about 16 passengers) please be prepared for the fact that your luggage will probably be sent separately and some hours after you arrive in resort. Do not worry as this is all well organised but you are advised to have some light clothing/swimwear in you hand luggage to change into once at your island.

Also don’t forget your camera during your transfer, as you will see some breathtaking sights along the way.
